Schools Building Stronger Partnerships
We are schools working with families and community partners to build stronger partnerships for student success. Guided by Connecticut’s definition and framework of family engagement, we work together as equal partners to benefit children.

WHAT WE DO
Build Capacity
We build the capacity of schools through professional development to selected partner and alliance districts. CFSP promotes shared leadership between schools and families. Examples include, but not limited to, welcoming walkthroughs, parent teacher home visits, equity and social justice training.
In addition, the CFSP assists selected partner districts on increasing student success through working on the National Network of Partnership School (NNPS) model.
SERVICES
What We Provide
We provide families the resources and tools to build their capacity as effective leaders, so they are seen and heard as equal collaborators with schools and community partners.
Resource Hub
Access to family engagement resources, like learning activities, books, research, videos, etc.
Leadership Development
We train schools to become family engagement leaders and access high quality education for all.
Trainings
We offer professional development to promote shared leadership and capacity building.
Policy & Programming
We assist schools in promoting local family engagement policies and programs in schools & communities.
Technical Assistance
We provide direct support from a live person, 1:1 coaching, and personalized assistance.
Advocacy
We provide schools with tools to advocate for family engagement in their districts and shared leadership.
Alliance District Support
We provide partnering alliance districts with monthly peer learning, coaching, and networking for family engagement leaders

Friday Cafe
Meaningful Connection in a No-Pressure Space. Friday Café is a welcoming gathering for people who care about kids and families. A statewide networking series for professionals focused on family engagement, it features short talks and big conversations that build trust, spark ideas, and strengthen community—because connection is at the heart of it all.

We are Connecticut Families, Schools and Community Partners working to improve student success through strong equal, equitable, and full partnerships for student success.
We are a division of Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), a social advocacy and education organization committed to excellence in education.
We are 100% funded by the US Department of Education.
