Connecticut State Board of Education Five-Year Plan (2023–2028)

Every five years, the Connecticut State Board of Education develops a comprehensive plan for elementary, secondary, and adult education. The 2023–2028 plan, Every Student Prepared for Learning, Life, and Work Beyond School, was shaped through months of collaboration, retreats, and extensive input from nearly 3,000 residents—including educators, parents, and community members.

The process identified four strategic priorities, with clear action steps and outcomes, and included a public comment period that provided valuable feedback. With adoption of the plan, agency leadership will set specific targets and provide regular updates to track progress toward achieving these goals.
